The index closed at 3,866.32 points ,down by 0.80% from yesterday's close of 3,897.34. A total of 134,536 shares were transacted in 16 trades worth K1.1 billion. The major market player in today's transactions was Shoprite which recorded K1 billion in terms of turnover. Price movements were recorded in SCZ - (K6.00), ZAMBEEF - (K1.00), AELZ - K2.00 and ZAMEFA - K93.00.Trading activity was also recorded in LAFARGE, SHOPRITE and ZANACO. The dual listed companies as at 15:00hrs (Zambian time) today traded at : FQMZ - 23.95 C$, SHOPRITE - 13,264 Cents, ZAMBEEF - 42.00 Pence, ZCCM-IH - 2.08 Euros
